On Saturday our church met to discuss our mission plan for growth. It was determined that we currently are involved in multiple mission opportunities and will continue giving of our time, talent, and finances to those service organizations. We also discussed how to become a greater presence in the community and keep connected with our membership. It was decided that a church T-shirt should be designed and printed to wear at church functions and when we are serving in the community. One participant volunteered to be the social media and webpage master to keep the church connected with the outside world. Two participants volunteered to be in charge of the phone tree and calling members to keep everyone updated. A small group will be starting a card ministry as well. Planning has also started to prepare for the 125th Anniversary Celebration of the church, which will take place in Early August 2014 (look for more news to come). The retreat closed with volunteers signing up to work the church's food booth at this year's Fulton Street Fair. More volunteers are needed, so don't forget to sign-up for a 3 hour shift.
